CHRISTMAS GIFT WRAPPING - DAY 23 - EASY ADDITIONS

CHRISTMAS GIFT WRAPPING - DAY 23 - EASY ADDITIONS

Today we're going to be showing you how you can easily change the look of your gift wrapping with the use of another paper and origami decoration.

Materials you need for this are:

  • 2 sheets of wrapping paper
  • Double sided tape
  • 1 sheet of square paper (for the origami crane)

Your main wrapping paper should be able to wrap around your gift with some additional length left over, your second choice of paper should be the width of your gift.

Step 1: Wrap your main wrapping paper around the gift and create about a 1 inch fold on one of the sides.

Step 2: Cut out a triangle from your second piece of paper, measuring the width of your gift.

Step 3: Tape your triangle on to the folded strip. Apply tape all along the strip so you can secure it in place.

Step 4: Tuck the ends in, then fold and tape them down.

Step 5: Add on an origami decoration of your choice and you're done! We think a crane looks really great with this style, you can watch our video tutorial below on how to make one.

We'll be releasing new gift wrapping tutorial video out every Friday, and other origami tutorials out every Tuesday in the run up to Christmas.
