CHRISTMAS GIFT WRAPPING - DAY 26 - CONE GIFT BAG

CHRISTMAS GIFT WRAPPING - DAY 26 - CONE GIFT BAG

Today we'll be teaching you how to create your own cone shaped gift bag.

Materials you need for this are:

  • 1 sheet of rectangle wrapping paper - I used an A4 size piece of paper
  • String or ribbon
  • Glue
  • Tape
  • A sharp pointed object

Step 1: Fold the bottom of your paper over by about 1cm, and fold the top behind by 1cm.

Step 2: Apply glue over both the folds then wrap and stick them together.

Step 3: Fold up the bottom of one end by about 1cm, tuck in the edges then glue it down.

Step 4: Open up half of the cone starting from the sealed side, create a crease to separate the two.

Step 5: Add your gift inside, then pleat along the flat side of the cone from the end to the crease you just marked out.

Step 6: Create two holes through the pleats and tie your string through to hold it in place.

Step 7: Glue down the ends of both sides to the middle to create a fan effect and you're done!

We'll be releasing new gift wrapping tutorial video out every Friday, and other origami tutorials out every Tuesday in the run up to Christmas.
