For day two we'll be making pleated folds and accessories.
Materials you need for this are:
- Wrapping paper
- Tissue or rice paper
- Two square sheets of paper and two rectangle sheets of paper for the accessories
- Ribbon
- Strong glue
- Tape
- Scissors
Step 1: Wrap you gift in a simple way.
Step 2: Measure your tissue or rice paper around the gift to check the fit. You can purchase our rice paper here.
Step 3: Take back your tissue/rice paper and fold it in half, then at the folded side, fold it again about a third of the way up, then fold it back on to itself.
Step 4: Open back up the tissue paper and repeat to make two pleat folds.
Step 5: Wrap it around your gift and secure with tape.
Step 6: Pleat two sheets of square paper.
Step 7: Cut a small bit of ribbon and tie at the ends of the pleated squares, cut off the access ribbon.
Step 8: Flatten out the pleats until it looks like a fan.
Step 9: Glue the fans onto your gift.
Step 10: Get a sheet of rectangle paper and fold it in half.
Step 11: Make slits along the open side all the way to the end.
Step 12: Get a piece of ribbon and tie a knot on both ends.
Step 13: Roll up the rectangle paper, insert the ribbon into the end and glue.
Step 14: Repeat to add another accessory on the other end of the ribbon.
Step 15: Tie additional ribbon around your gift, tie around the accessories and you're done!
