EASY PAPER CRAFT CAMELLIA FLOWER TUTORIAL

This super easy paper craft camellia flower tutorial produces wonderful camellias that can be used for decorating or gift wrapping. 

You'll need three different coloured sheets of paper. I used red for the petals, yellow for the stigma and green for the leaves.

Start of by cutting out five petal shapes and making a small slit at the bottom. My petals measured about 4cm height and 3cm width at the widest points.

Fold one half of the slit over the over and glue it in place to make the petals 3D.

Cut out a small circle to use as the flower base and glue the petals on. My circle measured about 2cm diameter.

You will need to overlap the petals slightly for a nice finish.

Cut a rectangle from your second coloured paper and fold it in half. My rectangle measured 14cm x 3.5cm.

Cut lines through the paper on the folded side, make sure not to cut all the way through.

Roll the paper all the way, keeping it tight as you roll.

You should end up with something like this.

Glue the end of the paper onto itself and apply glue to the bottom to stick onto your flower.

Now it's time to add a leaf!

Cut a rectangle from your third and final coloured paper. My rectangle measured 7x5cm.

Fold it in half and cut a leaf shape.

Cut a slit through the middle of the leaf to make a midrib.

Fold the leaf in half again and make slits for the veins.

... and you're done! You can either glue your leaf onto the flower or arrange them next to each other.
