CHRISTMAS GIFT WRAPPING - DAY 11 - ORIGAMI CLOVER DECORATION
Share
Today we're going to be showing you how to make an origami clover decoration and how to do a simple no tape wrap fold.
Materials you need for this are:
- Wrapping paper - about 3 x times the height of your gift and 2 x the length
- 4 sheets of square paper
- 1 sheet of paper (can be square or rectangle)
- String or ribbon
- Glue
Step 1: Fold your square piece of paper in half vertically, unfold, then fold it in half again horizontally and unfold. If you are using double sided paper, make the folds with the plain side facing you.
Step 2: Fold 1 quarter up.
Step 3: Flip the paper to the other side and fold the two bottom corners in.
Step 4: Flip the paper back over and fold the bottom up.
Step 5: Flip the paper back around and open up the green flaps.
Step 6: Diagonally fold up the corners on the flaps to create a triangle, then fold up the bottom of the triangle from the bottom.
Step 7: Fold in both sides to meet the middle line and flip the paper back over once again.
Step 8: Repeat this 3 more times until you have four hearts.
Step 9: Apply glue to corners of the hearts and insert them into each other until you have a clover head.
Step 10: With you last piece of paper, roll it up into a tube to create the stem. Glue it onto the back of your clover and create a slight bend to give it a realistic look.
Now onto wrapping the gift:
Step 1: Place your gift on top of your wrapping paper towards one of the corners and wrap it around.
Step 2: Fold in the sides over the gift making sure the edges are neat, and fold in the corners to create a neater shape.
Step 3: Fold any access paper around the gift.
Step 4: Place your clover on top, wrap around your string and you're done!
