CHRISTMAS GIFT WRAPPING - DAY 13 - COTTON FLOWER DECORATION

CHRISTMAS GIFT WRAPPING - DAY 13 - COTTON FLOWER DECORATION

Today we're going to be showing you how to make an origami clover decoration and how to do a simple no tape wrap fold.

Materials you need for this are:

    • Wrapping paper
    • Cotton sheets (you can also use balls)
    • Crepe paper - we used metallic coloured
    • Scissors
    • String
    • Glue - we used a fabric glue but you can also use UHU

We used cotton sheets to create the flower balls, if you have cotton balls you can skip to step

Step 1: Using cotton pads, we separated the single sheets and applied them back on top of each other.

Step 2: Round out the edges then cut 4 slits and tie the sheets together using string.

Step 3: We added more sheets and moulded the balls until we got them to the shape we wanted.

Step 4: Cut out a four leaf shapes from your crepe paper and then pinch and curl both ends in.

Step 5: Glue the leaves in place over your cotton.

Step 6: Roll up some crepe paper, glue it in place then make a curve and glue it onto your leaves.

Step 7: To apply the flower onto our wrapped gift we glued down a strip of crepe paper and inserted it in.

We'll be releasing new gift wrapping tutorial video out every Friday, and other origami tutorials out every Tuesday in the run up to Christmas.
