CHRISTMAS GIFT WRAPPING - DAY 14 - DUAL WRAPPING WITH PAPER ORCHID DECORATION
Share
Today we're going to be showing you how to make a dual wrapped gift with a bonus paper orchid decoration. This dual wrapping method works best when wrapping gifts in pairs as it essentially creates two sets of wrapping paper.
Materials you need for this are:
- 2 sheets of wrapping paper - we used Yuzen Washi and Textured Hefeng Paper
- Access to a printer
- Scissors
- Glue or tape
Step 1: Get your two pieces of paper together and halve them into triangle shapes.
Step 2: Fold in about an inch along the longest sides of the wrapping paper then tuck one into the other to combine them, applying glue as you do.
Step 3: To wrap your gift, lay down it down on top of your paper and wrap the paper over
Step 4: Tuck in the sides of the ends then fold the tips in to create a neat edge. Glue or tape everything along the way.
To make the orchid, we will be using Ellinee's template - you can find her here.
Print and cut out the template. Then glue the pieces together.
We decided to go with white petals.
Now you can glue the orchid onto your gift and you're done!
We'll be releasing new gift wrapping tutorial video out every Friday, and other origami tutorials out every Tuesday in the run up to Christmas.
