CHRISTMAS GIFT WRAPPING - DAY 10 - JAPANESE ENVELOPE WRAP

CHRISTMAS GIFT WRAPPING - DAY 10 - JAPANESE ENVELOPE WRAP

Today we're going to be showing you how to wrap your gift to look like a traditional Japanese styled envelope.

Materials you need for this are:

  • Wrapping paper
  • Double sided tape
  • Washi tape (or you can use ribbon)

Step 1: Measure out your wrapping paper against your gift, it should be wide enough to wrap around and about three times the length of your gift.

Step 2: Wrap it around your gift and tape in place.

Step 3: Flatten down one of the ends and fold it over your gift, taping in place.

Step 4: Flatten down the other end and this time fold in the edges to creating a pointed end then fold it on top of your gift.

Step 5: Wrap washi tape around your gift to create and cross and you're done!

On December 4th we'll be hosting a gift wrapping workshop in collaboration with L.F. Markey at their East London Dalston Lane store, click here for more information on the tickets.

We'll also have a new gift wrapping tutorial video out every Friday, and other origami tutorials out every Tuesday in the run up to Christmas.
