CHRISTMAS GIFT WRAPPING - DAY 9 - WRAPPING WITHOUT TAPE

CHRISTMAS GIFT WRAPPING - DAY 9 - WRAPPING WITHOUT TAPE

Today we're going to be showing you how wrap a present without using any tape.

Materials you need for this are:

  • Wrapping paper - the size should be around 4 x the length and 3 x the width of your gift
  • Wide ribbon

Step 1: Lay your gift on top of your wrapping paper and fold one of the corners slightly onto your gift.

Step 2: Make a crease along the edge and then fold up from the bottom. Make sure the edges are tightly creased every time.

Step 3: Continue to wrap the paper around on the other side.

Step 4: Repeat this process for the final part.

Step 5: Tuck the leftover paper into the previous folds made.

Step 6: Fold your ribbon in half then wrap it around the gift, creating a loop and tying it tightly to secure everything in place.

Step 7: Tie a bow from the rest of your ribbon and you're done!

On December 4th we'll be hosting a gift wrapping workshop in collaboration with L.F. Markey at their East London Dalston Lane store, click here for more information on the tickets.

We'll also have a new gift wrapping tutorial video out every Friday, and other origami tutorials out every Tuesday in the run up to Christmas.
