CHRISTMAS GIFT WRAPPING - DAY 30 - JAPANESE MIZUHIKI DECORATION

CHRISTMAS GIFT WRAPPING - DAY 30 - JAPANESE MIZUHIKI DECORATION

Today we'll be creating a Japanese mizuhiki decoration for your gift wrapping. We'll be paring this along with dual coloured wrapping paper.

Materials you need for this are:

  • Mizuhiki - you can use other craft alternatives such as pipe cleaners
  • Tape
  • Scissors

To replicate our dual gift wrapping look:

  • 2 sheets of wrapping paper
  • Scrap paper to wrap around
  • Double sided tape

Step 1: Create a loop using four pieces of mizuhiki. Temporarily hold the loop in place with tape.

Step 2: Remove the tape and wrap around another piece of mizuhiki to create this coil effect. Trim down one of the ends to your pleasing.

Step 3: Wrap your gift using two sheets of wrapping paper. You can read our full instructions on how to dual wrap here.

Step 4: Wrap around a scrap piece of paper for a nicer look.

Step 5: Wrap four more pieces of mizuhiki around your gift.

Step 6: Attach your previous mizuhiki decoration and you're done!

I hope you have enjoyed our 30 days of gift wrapping tutorials.

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
